How far are you from the ferry ports?

We are 136 m [under 3 hours] from Caen if you want a long ferry trip and a short drive , and 300 m [around 5 hours all motorway] from Calais if you prefer a short ferry and a longer drive.
You can also fly Ryanair to Tours [from London Stansted] or fly to Paris [ a 2 hours drive ] and combine peaceful country life with a few days in the most romantic city in the world!
We have tried them all, and are happy to discuss your options!

Where are the nearest shops?

We are around 3 miles (10 mins) from the towns of Chateau la Valliere and 7 miles (15 mins) from Chateau du Loir.
Both have a variety of specialist food shops,bars,cafes,restaurants,petrol stations and large supermarkets.
The nearest boulangerie is about a mile away.

Do we need to bring anything?

The cottage is fully equipped to give you a home from home holiday, we have included everything we think you will need for your stay with bedding and towels supplied.

Please bring your own beach towels.

We like to travel mid week. Is this possible?

Yes, especially outside high season.

NO SMOKING inside the cottage.

Can we bring pets?

Unfortunately we do not allow pets at our cottage .
