How far are you from the ferry ports?

We are 136 m [under 3 hours] from Caen if you want a long ferry trip and a short drive , and 300 m [around 5 hours all motorway] from Calais if you prefer a short ferry and a longer drive.
You can also fly Ryanair to Tours [from London Stansted] or fly to Paris [ a 2 hours drive ] and combine peaceful country life with a few days in the most romantic city in the world!

Where are the nearest shops?

The nearest boulangerie is in Couesmes, around 3 minutes drive away on very quiet roads.
We are around 3 miles from the town of Chateau la Valliere and 7 miles from Chateau du Loir both easily reached on quiet roads.Both have a variety of specialist food shops,bars,cafes,restaurants,petrol stations and supermarkets.

Do we need to bring anything if you rent our holiday cottage in France ?

The cottage is fully equipped to give you a home from home holiday in France. We have included everything we think you will need for your stay with bedding and towels supplied.

Please bring your own beach towels.

We like to travel mid week. Is this possible?

Yes, especially outside high season.

Can we bring pets?

Unfortunately we do not allow pets at our cottage .

Smoking?

The cottage is no smoking.
